Orig. published in 1874, this is the Fifth Edition from 1884, in 317 pages, with period ads in front & rear. Black textured cloth over boards, faded gilt lettering to front & spine, this 12mo (4.5" x 6.75") is in Fair condition: stitched binding is largely secure, but some signatures are loosening. Spine shows evidence of glue repair. Rubbing & scratching all over, paper residue to rear board. Corners mildly bumped. Pages moderately tanned, wit random soil & foxed spots, offsetting from small newspaper clippings, some still intact, some handwritten recipes throughout text.
