RALPH C. S. WALKER is Fellow and Tutor in Philosophy at Magdalen
College, Oxford, and author of Kant (Routledge, 1978). The present
collection is designed to present a coherent introduction to Kant's Critique of
Pure Reason. It contains nine of the most stimulating and useful articles in
English on the C~itique, representing a variety of different approaches to
Kant. Nevertheless there is an overall unity of theme, in a shared concern
with transcendental arguments and the synthetic a priori.
