Karl Marx

Karl Marx's works have profoundly influenced political thought and social theory. His most notable contributions include the critique of capitalism and the exploration of class struggle. Marx's ideas on historical materialism and the dynamics of economic systems have laid the groundwork for various political movements and ideologies. His seminal work, "The Communist Manifesto," co-authored with Friedrich Engels, calls for the proletariat to rise against the bourgeoisie, advocating for a classless society. Marx's analysis of capitalism remains relevant, prompting ongoing discussions about economic inequality and social justice. Achille Loria, an Italian economist and sociologist, expanded upon Marxist theory by integrating it with his own insights into economic development and social change. Loria's work emphasized the importance of understanding the socio-economic conditions that shape human behavior and societal structures. He explored the relationship between economic systems and cultural phenomena, arguing that economic factors significantly influence social dynamics. Loria's contributions to Marxist thought provided a nuanced perspective on the evolution of capitalism and its impact on society, enriching the discourse surrounding economic theory and social progress.
