Keep Your Eyes On the Horizon: Business Lessons from Unsinkable Titanic

During our study of the Titanic catastrophe it became clear to us that the leadership lessons from the Titanic clearly apply to businesses today as much as they did to the ships at this iconic event more than 100 years ago. This book will draw parallels between the Titanic catastrophe and today’s contemporary business world. As our reader will hopefully see, there are many lessons to be learned by today’s business practitioners.

Our books are about friendship, believing in one another and a drive to challenge the status quo of the established business world. The journey leading to our books started over 10 years ago when the 3 of us met at a little village on the outskirts of Oxford in England, United Kingdom, at a strategy residential related to our MBA studies. After finalizing our MBA studies and despite busy careers in different parts of the world, we continued to keep in close and frequent contact. As a result of our numerous discussions over the years and sharing ideas from our different business practices, the idea for our books slowly emerged. As active business practitioners, we experienced so many "corporate change initiatives" that despite being launched with a lot of "rah-rah" and backed by world-class consultants were at best leading nowhere.
