The book won The Governor General's Award for Creative Non-Fiction in 1945. 271pp, illustrations by Winifred Fox including an attractive, colourful front cover. A Near Fine copy with only two very minor faults - a small mark to the top fore-corner of the front cover where a price-sticker [?] removed ; a .5 cm tear at the foot of the spine . May ship via inexpensive Canada Post Lettermail within Canada, or via the USPS Media Mail in the USA, in card sleeve. Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs, as stated on ABE, are based on books weighing 1.1 LB, or .5 KG, or under. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. We use both Canada Post and the United States Postal Service whichever is cheapest for the customer.
