Laura Ramirez is the author of the award-winning book, Keepers of the Children: Native American Wisdom and Parenting and Keepers of the Children: Workbook/Journal. Her work is used by parents from many cultures and in parenting programs on tribes and nations across the U.S. & Canada. In her books, she uses humane ideas from the Native American Indian culture to teach parents how to raise children to develop their unique strengths so they can lead meaningful lives and create a better world for all of us. A keynote speaker and workshop leader, Ms. Ramirez recently released a 2-DVD series, Parenting the Native Way: Raising Children to Live in Balance with the Natural World. She lives with her husband (a Pascua Yaqui Native American man) and two children in the sage-dotted foothills of Northern Nevada.
