Privately published journals by the late Albert Haas Jr., recounting his days fly fishing and also his life's experiences celebrating interesting and personal situations. "Keeping in Motion" is 91 pp. and "In Slower Motion" is 86 pp. Octavo. (8 x 6). These two volumes are probably the only two journals he completed. "In Slower Motion" is inscribed and signed by him, and the inscription is addressed to Bob Wethern, the late editor of Rivers of Oregon series of books, and the founding Secretary of Flyfishers' Club of Oregon, also author of The Creel: McKenzie River Edition. In both journals, Mr. Haas' focus is primarily on fly fishing the west coast, but he ranges far and wide beyond its coast, streams and lakes. He was politically active, a committed environmentalist, and he participated in several marches against U. S. war involvement. One placard in particular stated his position on war exactly: "Fighting for Peace is Like Screwing for Virginity." "Keeping in Motion" has highlights in a colored pen, done by Mr. Wethern, indicating essays to publish in The Creel. Both volumes are bound in paper wrappers, and both volumes in very good condition.
