Keeping It Together (Paperback)

Paperback. Theirs was an improbable love affair: She, a beautiful, but troubled, young woman seeking to extricate herself from a disastrous marriage to an older man; He, a young playboy wannabe who believed that two dates constituted a long term, monogamous relationship. A chance encounter on a city sidewalk ignited a mutual infatuation. Almost immediately the infatuation became an unrestrained, passionate love affair that, despite family disapproval, a violent encounter with the husband, a long separation and legal turmoil, resulted in a marriage that defied the conventions and values of the 1950s. Keeping It Together is the intimate and bittersweet story of Marie and Grady Jefferys, their difficult courtship and the trials and tribulations they confronted and overcame in a union that in the age of divorce endured for more than six decades to prove that love conquers all.
