This is a fabulous new book about the influential potter and educator, Ken Ferguson. 119 pages with lots of color photos, very nicely done. Contributors such as Garth Clark, John Perreault, Ted Rowland, Peter von Ziegesar and Ken Ferguson himself provide pages of wonderful reading that is sure to inspire any artist. From the back cover: " 'How does the son of a Rust Belt worker become a world-renowned ceramist? Why does he choose ceramics in the first place? How does a man who fled from art education later become one of the most influential ceramics educators of the twentieth century? The answers to these questions inform us about Ken Ferguson's journey as an artist, pedagogue, and agent provocateur, and shed light on the changing place of ceramics in American art' Garth Clark, from 'A Matter of Timing' "
