The Kennedy Effect. Seller Inventory # BBS-9780984105304
President John F. Kennedy's counterpart from an alternate reality visits Earth, his stated mission: to observe our timeline, including the assassination of our president. But then his own dark fate is revealed, and he goes on the run. Soon Kennedy finds himself in a battle to save both his universe and ours from marauders who would do anything to destroy us. To stop them, he must trust a mysterious faction from yet another reality, the Martians. This work of alternative history/speculative fiction creates a subgenre aimed at those who relish far-out concepts containing a strain of plausibility. Here's a universe and an Earth that match scientific theory and offer unique ideas within the realm of the perhaps might-be.
Review: Michael J. Foy's newest novel weaves a history lesson with religion and politics accentuated by technology and parallel universes; like a strand of DNA. Aliens, Martians and nanoprobes, meshed with the narrative of JFK and his family - who could want more? The assassination of JFK begins the saga of the battle for survival of our universe. Once the dual consciousness of the hero, Jack and JFK are established, the storyline never falters throughout the book. Uniquely developed is the account of how we balance our collective history which so deeply includes religion and all its implications. Clearly the author is able to handle many "saucers" in the air at once. As each new character is introduced, and there are many to keep you questioning "Now what?", the woven fabric is happily tied up at the conclusion of this exciting work of speculative fiction. --Jennifer C.
