The story of teenager Kennedy Ann Hansen, who passed away from terminal juvenile Batten disease in 2014.

I chose this rating because it was an amazing true story of a family who loves God and because of their faith and obedience to the Him they will forever be together in eternity. The first story I seen on facebook was THE LAST RIDE! Wow I was so broken at the time and I needed Kennedy's Hug so much that I was homeless and living in a shelter but I wanted to know more about her and her life so I went to the library and sit all day and the next day reading until I got all the way caught up this was in June 2014! I ended up in Jail and so did my boyfriend at the time we had been dating since Feb. 20th 2011 and both struggled with mental health issues and drug addiction. Today I want to say that Kennedy helped me through so much and showed me to just know God has me. I'm happy to say that Feb 2015 my husband and I got married on our 4th year anniversary in the church we met at but not through church through cocaine anonymous and now we are members of the church and live for the LORD today! This book is full of inspiration and touching real life moments from Kennedys life. Kennedy and her family went through the ultimate trial in life with so much love and kindness. Although Kennedy lost her life to this awful disease, her love and legacy will live on through this book and her families efforts to tell her story and keep her "HUGS" alive. This book had me laughing and crying but most of all it touched my heart in ways no other book has. This book is a must read for families of all ages, it will make you take a good look at your own life and take stock in what is really important and hold close those that you love. We all have a purpose in this life, Kennedy knew her purpose and acted on it til the day she passed away.
