Kept for the Master's Use

What does it truly mean to offer every part of your life to God?
In Kept for the Master’s Use, beloved hymn writer Frances Ridley Havergal—best known for “Take My Life and Let It Be”—opens her heart and shares the spiritual reflections that shaped each line of her timeless hymn. With warmth, honesty, and remarkable clarity, Havergal invites readers into a deeper, more intentional walk with Christ.

Drawing from her own life of chronic illness, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion, Havergal explores themes of surrender, consecration, trust, and wholehearted obedience. Each chapter unpacks a phrase from her hymn, revealing the biblical truths, personal stories, and God-centered insights that inspired it. The result is a devotional classic that gently challenges believers to yield their hands, voice, time, talents, relationships, and desires fully to the Savior.

More than a commentary on a hymn, this book is a call to live a life set apart—a life of joyful submission, purity of heart, and constant communion with Christ. Perfect for morning devotions, small-group study, or moments of quiet reflection, Kept for the Master’s Use offers practical spiritual encouragement in a compact, uplifting format.
