Kerygmatology: Christianity before Christianity

Kerygmatology – Christianity Before Christianity invites readers into a journey through the raw, original faith that turned the world upside down long before the structures, traditions, and systems of institutional Christianity formed. This book explores the apostolic message—called the kerygma—as it was proclaimed by Jesus and His apostles, tracing its purity and power before it became diluted by centuries of religious tradition and cultural adaptation.

What was the message that Peter and Paul risked their lives to preach? What was the Kingdom they proclaimed, and why was it so offensive to religious and political systems of their day? Why did the early followers of Jesus gather without temples, clergy hierarchies, and man-made traditions, yet walk in the power of the Holy Spirit that transformed lives and communities? This book re-examines the faith as it was before it became an institution, uncovering the core message that ignited a movement across the Roman Empire and beyond.

Kerygmatology challenges believers to question whether modern Christianity resembles the faith delivered to the saints, or whether it has replaced the cross with comfort, the kingdom with personal ambition, and the urgency of repentance with a diluted, entertainment-driven faith. It examines the difference between cultural Christianity and the Kingdom Gospel, revealing how the early believers saw themselves not as adherents to a new religion, but as participants in the fulfillment of God’s promises to Abraham and the prophets.

You will discover:
• How the apostles defined the Gospel, and why it was more than a personal salvation message.
• The role of repentance, baptism, and discipleship in the early Church.
• Why the Kingdom of God was central to the apostolic proclamation.
• The contrast between the early believers' lives and today’s religious culture.
• The dangers of modern Christianity’s drift toward comfort, celebrity, and consumerism.
• The call to return to the apostolic faith rooted in Scripture, community, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

This book is not a call to nostalgia but a wake-up call to embrace the radical, inconvenient, and powerful Gospel that Jesus proclaimed—a message that demands surrender, transforms identity, and invites believers to live as citizens of a Kingdom that is here and yet to come.
