Key Concepts in Gender Studies

Gender influences every aspect of social life, shaping identity, culture, and access to power. Understanding key gender concepts allows scholars and practitioners to challenge inequality and promote inclusivity. Key Concepts in Gender Studies introduces foundational ideas in the study of gender, including patriarchy, intersectionality, masculinity, and performativity. The book examines the social construction of gender roles, historical movements for equality, and contemporary feminist theory. It also highlights global perspectives on gender and diversity. Through clear explanations and critical insights, it provides a solid foundation for students exploring gender dynamics in society.
