A Key to the Major Groups of British Terrestrial Invertebrates

This key should enable beginners to identify living animals encountered during field studies in most terrestrial or semi-terrestrial habitats. Characters which require considerable expertise, or expensive equipment, have been avoided. Ecological notes are included for all groups. Like all AIDGAP keys, earlier versions were tested extensively by school and university students, and this, the first published version, has been revised in the light of their comments.
