J.L. Austgen was born in 1979 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended a Jesuit high school where his love for writing fiction took root. After graduating college in Colorado, he took a job in IT and stopped writing fiction.
Several years passed before he realized how much he missed writing, and with excitement, he sat down and created Evelyn Morgan.
J.L. spends his spare time reading, listening to music, and spending time with his family. He is married with two kids, and two dogs. He currently lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado where he is working on the sequel to Keyser Run, the next exciting work in the Evelyn Morgan series.
