WW II training aircraft flew over my head on our farm/ranch in Western Kansas. This gave me, as a youth, the desire to fly. Being trained as a chaplain, throat surgeries derailed me for some time during which time I turned to aircraft sales. Got rated in light aircraft and getting a job with LearJet gave me the chance to fly with the test pilots. Later I became the Director of Marketing. Years later my speaking voice came back and I resigned and returned to the chaplaincy and became Chief of Chaplains in the USAF Auxiliary, CAP with the rank of full Colonel. After writing devotionals for the CAP NEWS from Maxwell AFB, Alabama I was asked by a number of people to compile these inspirational vignettes into a book which I did.
