Accompanying each program description is some basic playing advice and, occasionally, a Tips for Use section. One obvious disadvantage to this guide is that new programs regularly appear, but by following the authors' basic guidelines and taking note of which company produces the programs that suit a family's needs, new choices can be intelligently made.
