VG orig. red boards in lt. edgeworn p-c maroon on blue dj. viii, 217, [1] p.; 22 cm. viii, 217, [1] pages. [Translation of Die Ezistenzdialektik von Soren Kierkegaard, 1950] `The external stimulus to the writing of this bookwas a prize offered by the Soren Kierkegaard Society of Copenhagen for a dissertation on "The Concept of Dialectic in Soren Kierkegaard." I siezed upon this opportunity, because I had long felt the need to take issue againstthe ever-increasing misuse of Kierkegaard's work in present-day theologicaland philosophical discussion. The first thing to be done was to ascertainonce and for all whether Kierkegaard can actually be appealed to in supportof the "existential thinking" now so much in vogue.'. Binding is Hardcover.
