A masked killer arose from Graveslake. High school seniors were hunted in cold blood to satisfy his twisted game. Every year, he carries out his ritual. One senior goes missing, only to show up gruesomely murdered in cold blood.

The Senior Slayer.

He hunts for fun.

Others hunt on his behalf.

A prize is to be won.

I survived my senior year despite the Senior Slayer's lingering presence. Making the most out of life, I built a career as a prolific horror author writing about the killer and the rumors of how he let one get away.

His final girl.

Today...

It's the final group vacation before everyone starts their new chapter. One more chance to share memories together as high school friends. One more chance to create a flame from an old spark before he and I part ways. We all survived high school - literally. Some wouldn't dare to do this trip as a senior, but we've all graduated now. A trip to a secluded cabin in the woods isn't that scary when you know you're no longer a target.

What's the worst that could go wrong?

Sage Mitchell is the sassy altar ego of a Midwestern girl who chooses to remain semi-anonymous. Sage grew up in the northwoods where she obsessed over reading, wrote fantastical poetry and prose in private, loved spooky things, and binged watched Supernatural more than 100 times. Attending the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater, Sage obtained a Bachelors of Science Education degree specializing in English; along with a minor in Anthropology. She spent the majority of her 20's teaching students that reading is an experience and it's accessible for everyone (No, seriously, even audiobooks and comics). While she loved her work, the gremlin in the back of her mind kept nagging at her to write a book. That nagging quickly turned into a lifelong goal. Now, Sage lives with her fur baby and husband on the West Coast. Her debut horror novel, The Killing Game, is just the start of her venture into the author world. When she's not cozying up at home with a book, going to Disneyland with her partner, or connecting with her bookish online community, Sage is holed up finding the next great story to write.
