Killing the Kansas City Shuffle (A Miss Markham Mystery)

In Kansas City on Columbus Day 1931, Deloris Markham, amateur sleuth, discovers the body of Slick Sam Sloan, a grifter, a conman, and a lady's man. His favorite game was the Kansas City Shuffle, but did he go too far? Who stabbed Sam? Was the murderer one of his shuffle victims? Was it the Mafia upset he was running a con on their turf and on their people? Was it because he wasn't being square with one of his gangster friends? Was it the owners of the Italian restaurant he may have told the G-men about their illegal hooch and had them raided? Or was it one of his ex-wives or jealous girlfriends? Step into 1930s Kansas City with its underworld of crime, good food and actual locations.

Miss Markham Mystery books are one part fact and three parts fiction merged into a cozy historical murder mystery. Can you figure out which is which and "Who Done It" before Deloris does?
