No King But Caesar

Love--or a matter of convenience?

Betrayed by her lover, beautiful and willful Diana agrees to a marriage negotiated between her father and Quintus, a bold and courageous officer of Rome, who would give his life for justice--and for Diana.

It was a business arrangement, a bargain she would keep--but what Diana did not bargain for was that she would fall in love with Quintus, at the very moment that their marriage became complicated by the jealousies, the intrigues, and the ruthless ambition of others.

Caught up in the political and religious turmoil of the times, Diana finds herself fighting with every fiber of her being to preserve her marriage--and Quintus, the man who now means more to her than life itself.

Set against the brilliant backdrop of ancient Rome, at the time when Pontius Pilate decreed the crucifixion of a radical young preacher from Nazareth, The Promise and the Passion is a vivid and exciting story that combines history with romance.
