This sermon by the Prophet Joseph Smith at the Spring Conference of the Church in 1844, three months before his death, is notable because this is the first time that Smith spoke at length on the concept and his belief in divinization (God was once a mortal man and man can become a God). This was originally published in the Times and Seasons and was cobbled together from the notes and memories of Willard Richards, Wilford Woodruff, Thomas Bullock, and William Clayton. Surprisingly uncommon.
