White cloth cover shows some discolored spots on spine. In Very Good slipcase. 7 1/2"w x 10 3/4"h. Approx. 40 pages. A facsimile edition of the illuminated manuscript created by Rene d'Anjou around 1457, in which the allegorical figure of the Heart sets out on a quest for love accompanied by Desire, with full-color reproductions of the manuscript's celebrated miniatures from the Austrian National Library in Vienna and a scholarly introduction by Franz Unterkircher.
