Poor condition overall as this book appears to have been the property of a soldier in the field. Significant wear. The cover has gotten wet at some point, warping the front board and causing water damage to the first few pages, some of which have mold stains. There is also a split in the fabric at the front near the top of the spine. There are some interesting features, though. The book has "ORQMS T.J. Kelly" written at the top of the front fly leaf, which I believe refers to Orderly Room Quartermaster Sergeant, T.J. Kelly, and it is stamped in multiple places throughout the book with "Central Pay Office, 20 FEB 1957, 7th (K) BN. K.A.R." It seems likely this was Sergeant Kelly's unit and I believe it stands for The 7th (Kenya) Battalion, King's African Rifles (KAR). The book is clean other than the aforementioned wear and water damage. All of the fold out maps are intact, but they have seen much use and are in varying states of wear.
