The Kintsugi Cipher (The Solomon Arcanum)

In a world where magic is branded into flesh, every scar tells a story.

Kyra Vale thought her life was ordinary — art classes, cracked porcelain, and a father who vanished years ago.
But when a violent encounter awakens something inside her, Kyra discovers the truth: the hidden Order of Solomon has been controlling the world’s magic for centuries through sigilcraft — symbols burned into living skin to cage Aen, the life-force that connects all things.

Now the Order is hunting her.
Her father, once their commander, carries a stolen relic known as The Kintsugi Cipher — a shattered Key capable of reshaping creation itself.
To survive, Kyra must uncover why the artifact answers to her touch and what her father is really protecting.

Hunted by Purifiers, torn between loyalty and betrayal, Kyra learns that some fractures are meant to break… and others are meant to be mended.

Fans of The Mortal Instruments, The Shadowhunter Chronicles, and A Discovery of Witches will be drawn into Gerald Locke’s The Kintsugi Cipher — a dark, emotionally charged urban-fantasy debut where compassion is rebellion and creation itself has a cost.
