This book takes place on the island of Anguilla. Anguilla is on the northernmost tip of the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean. The island is long and skinny, similar in shape to an eel. In fact, the word “Anguila” is the Spanish word for eel. Anguilla is 20 miles long and 4 miles wide.

This book is based on real events and the characters are real. Kip takes the reader on a fun adventure, with the overall message being that of friendship and caring for others.

Shelley Shultz is a teacher, school counselor, and yoga instructor. She spends her time enjoying the tropical lifestyle, traveling between Key West and Anguilla, with her husband of 47 years and her 18-year-old best friend, Kip.
