Kit and Modern Timber Frame Homes: A Complete Guide

This invaluable examination provides a look inside one of the oldest and most versatile building methods in human history: utilizing timber frame structures. With the present-day population continually embracing "green" issues, this very method has become increasingly popular. With the ongoing threat of global warming the use of sustainable, environmentally friendly materials grows more common every day. Building with wood is seen by many as a viable alternative to more traditional forms of construction, and this overview will help readers decide if a timber house is right for them. Julian Owen's previous books include Conservatories, a Complete Guide and Self Build.
