Kizuna

Kizuna is a picture book for all ages. On March 11, 2011, a 9.0 earthquake struck Japan, followed by a tidal wave which destroyed everything in its path. The tragedy brought out the best and worst in ocean and land creatures. Dinosaurs were released from great fissures on the ocean floor caused by the earthquake and washed ashore by the tsunami. Will they find happiness with the abandoned animals of Fukushima? Can the martial art discipline of Dino-Kwon-Do rein in their unruly behavior? Can Oki Doki, a samurai Japanese beetle, save Myrtle Snackle from a vicious venom of migrating tarantulas? Does Goemon, a dreadful fish, continue to pass gas and make everyone more miserable than they already are? And what about Beasley? Can he ever go home again? Kizuna readers will thrill to the adventures found in times of crisis-as well as kindness and wisdom.
