Synopsis
Two life-long students of human behavior share their lives and experiences so that readers of any age can benefit from the authors' "Now" which includes emotionally healthy insights and possibilities for needed life changes. An emphasis is placed on self-examination and recognition of the many alternatives that exist for improving one's emotional and physical well-being. Each section poses provocative questions about one's behavior and attitudes. A vision is provided of a world full of possibilities awaiting the choice of those people willing to make them. The book also describes how people block themselves from being able to see the opportunities that exist. By examining the Major Areas of Life: Intimate Re- lationships, Parenthood, Financial Security, Work and Health, the book pinpoints the adverse conse- quences of failing to resolve breakdowns in one or more of these areas. Practical strategies are illustrated for ways to deal with conflicts, threats, and difficult choices that will minimize distress and optimize positive outcomes for a happier and healthier life.
