Bound in leather and boards by Eva Kivelson, a gifted amateur who was born in Poland in 1900, took a medical degree, and after emigrating to America, raised three children, and continued to practice medicine, and bind books, Wear to the spine, missing the original printed wrappers, but otherwise a very nice copy of this curious production - one of 800 with two additional titles in French and English, as well as articles on Roustaveli and summaries of the poem in these languages. One of 800 copies. The first complete translation of this poem in Russian written by the famous 12th Century Georgian poet, Shota Rustaveli. Graceful and flexible verse remarkably reproduced in this publication in a magnificent translation by Constantine Balmont (1867-1942, in exile since 1920). The publication has two additional titles in French and English, as well as articles on Rustaveli and summaries of the poem in these languages.
