He also did odd jobs as a salesman, pizza delivery driver, factory worker, bartender and practically anything else that payed the rent. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1971, with a degree in Sociology. He minored in Psychology, and was accepted into graduate school at Central Michigan University, but decided on a construction man's career. Richard ran five 26.2 mile marathons, played team sports until he was in his forties, mostly baseball and football, and has had a passion for bodybuilding and boxing for fifty years of his life. In 1995, he became a professional artist, and was featured in Chicago and suburban newspapers and television shows. He started writing in 2007, and has published 5 books. "We All Know What's Coming!" is a journal of how he sees modern America, and the simple struggles and joys that he faces in his every day life. The book is sometimes humorous, and sometimes heartbreaking. It speaks of the old days, the old ways, modern technology, politicians, saints and sinners. It is a contemplative attempt by the author to bring the reader into the mind of a man who has lived a life that was filled with a great variety of things. It's an honest book. It holds no punches. The author hopes the reader will be inspired and instructed by his personal experiences. His life was a rugged journey, but his message is one of hope and love. This item is printed on demand.
