The shipping cost covers postage and packaging. We do not inflate the shipping costs so that we can list the book at a lower price, nor do we inflate the price of the book to cover increased shipping costs. Shipping costs are based on books weighing less than 2 lbs. (0.91 kg). Delivery Confirmation is included with standard U.S. (Media Mail) shipping. If your book order is heavy or oversized, or if there is a shipping cost statement at the end of the book description with a higher rate, you will be contacted by AbeBooks via email to approve the additional shipping charge. If the shipping statement indicates a lower rate, we will reduce your shipping charge when we process your order. The default rates are set to cover the cost of shipping a two-pound book to the most expensive destination within each category. Because of the risks inherent to mailing we will not ship any book without a packing slip (usually Abebooks Shipping Manifest), which includes the package's destination and a return address. We do not include an invoice or pricing. For an additional fee of $3.00, books can be shipped directly to your customer with your return address and/or have the price markings removed.
