As a modern religious Jew, I was always been attracted to the stories and commandments written in the book which I saw as the foundation of my people, history, and religion. This book has been interpreted by many commentators during our history, but I was not completely happy with any of them. I thought I could give my readers a better, more modern way to look at the simple meaning of the text, a look that will satisfy all monotheistic, moral, and pluralistic people around the world.
