About the Author
The authors, Dr. William Bhaskar and Dr. Philip Bhaskar, are brothers and board certified surgeons. The book "You Don't Know What You Don't Know" began as a labor of love for their sons and daughters, nieces and nephews, as they reached adulthood and left for college. It was originally intended to be a guide to basic health and safety; not much more than a small, handy manual covering critical issues they were often asked about: sore throats, coughs, and the flu. Gradually, however, the book evolved into a comprehensive guide for many aspects of college life. The authors believe that medical education and knowledge are crucial to health, wellness and longevity. Their goal is to educate and empower individuals to understand how their bodies function and to take steps to maintain and improve their health continually through life. To that end, the book presents the major health and wellness issues that confront young adults through middle age. The scope of this book is immense and wide-ranging. The intent was to cover as many crucial topics as possible, minimize medical jargon, and still keep the book small and handy. We have published this book to share this information with all college students and other students of life in the hope that we can all learn from each other and live long and prosperous lives.
