No Known Connection (The Shadowboxer Files)

The shooter was called a terrorist. The truth was something far more dangerous.

In the explosive new thriller from the Brill Wingfield series, a lone wolf attack on an Ivy League campus hides a terrifying conspiracy.

When a history professor is gunned down in a lecture hall, the media sees a clear-cut case of domestic terrorism. The FBI sees a radicalized student. But Brill Wingfield sees a pattern.

Hired to investigate the seemingly unrelated murder of a physics professor in Chicago, Brill uncovers a chilling connection: both victims were part of a secret group of academics who witnessed a horrific war crime in Syria ten years ago.

They saw the devil in the desert. Now he's coming to clean house.

The architect of the massacre is General Viktor Zoric, a ruthless Russian commander on the verge of a promotion that will make him untouchable. With the International Criminal Court preparing a secret indictment, Zoric has dispatched a squad of elite Spetsnaz assassins to American soil. Their mission: eliminate the witnesses before they can testify.

In a race against time that spans from the streets of Chicago to the frozen forests of the Pacific Northwest, Brill must find the last surviving member of "The Squad"-a biologist holding the only physical evidence of Zoric's crimes.

Outmanned and outgunned by a state-sponsored hit team, Brill Wingfield is the only thing standing between the truth and a cover-up written in blood.

Perfect for fans of The Terminal List, Mitch Rapp, and the high-stakes espionage of Daniel Silva, No Known Connection is a relentless, pulse-pounding thriller about the cost of justice and the long shadow of war.
