She has been an invited consultant to the Joint Commission, Federal Emergency Management Agency, State of California, and Government of Taiwan. She is Senior Health Policy Advisor for the Institute for Global and Regional Readiness in Washington, DC and Consultant to the American Medical Association on Core Disaster Life Support. She serves as the Director of Public Health Preparedness for the UC Irvine School of Medicine.
