In dieser Studie wird der Frage nachgegangen, inwiefern der beobachtbare Prozess des wirtschaftsstrukturellen Wandel der Industrienation Deutschland hin zur postindustriellen Gesellschaft einen eigenen Erkl�rungsbeitrag zur sozialwissenschaftlichen Debatte um die Destabilisierung betrieblicher Besch�ftigung auf dem deutschen Arbeitsmarkt leistet. Anhand der Befunde der vorliegenden Studie wird deutlich, dass am deutschen Arbeitsmarkt Entwicklungen in beide Richtungen (Destabilisierung und Zunahme der Stabilit�t) denkbar und beobachtbar sind. Von zunehmender Bedeutung ist aber die soziale Absicherung und gesellschaftliche Integration der Besch�ftigten in sogenannten Randbelegschaften.
