1st thus. 4to brown cloth. 2pp general instructions to be observed respecting cant on curves. On the inside cover at the front there is a diagram showing versine or rise in inches for varying radii and chords & inside the back coveris the L.M. & S.R. theoretical "cant" of outside rail on curves. I don't understand a word of it but I'm sure there will be railway & engineering buffs out there who will lap it up. There is creasing to the instructions but generally a decent enough copy.
