Results for all club matches played in the north of England; County lacrosse; International match - England v Ireland; North of England challenge flags; notes on club news; church challenge cup; etc. etc. Analysis of club seasons with small photographic portraits of some players. This would seem to one of the earliest publications on Lacrosse, a game that took off in the British Isles in the 1860's having been imported from Canada. Paperback volume. 12mo. 44pp. with 15 small photographs pasted in. Tables etc. Leaves clean and relatively bright. In the original highly decorative and illustrated stiff card boards, blue cloth spine. Binding weak, some leaves loose but all present. Minor chipping to covers and corners fractionally bumped, but overall a very handsome edition of this scarce early work. Seller Inventory # 31240
