Fisk's Book Bindery, No. 4 Methodist Church, Manchester, NH, Received of S S Proctor, To be finished 1/2 Mo Marble, Price of Binding 125 & embossed stamp of Wm. H. Fisk's Bookstore, Manchester. Portrait & 4 page biography of Rev Francis Burns, Bishop of Methodist Episcopal Church in Africa, a native of Albany, 'thoroughly African in complexion', 'given away' by parents at age 4 to Greene County farmer, tutored by Wm M'Lauren in Jewett, NY, to Liberia in 1834, ordained bishop 1858. Inner hinge broken, cover worn, lacking 2 plates, foxed, fair.
