Dagpo Rimpotch� est n� au Tibet en 1932 dans une famille noble, apparent�e au treizi�me dala�-lama. Il nous conte ici ce qu'a �t� son parcours, depuis le Tibet de son enfance jusqu'au Paris des ann�es 90. Avant m�me de savoir lire et �crire, Dagpo Rimpotch� est reconnu Tulku, corps manifest�: il est la r�incarnation de l'un des grands ma�tres de l'�poque contemporaine. D�s sa prime enfance, Dagpo Rimpotch� est choy�, v�n�r�, �cout�. Jusqu'� vingt-sept ans, il vit dans les monast�res, o� il re�oit un enseignement secret, et qu'on d�couvre ici pour la premi�re fois: m�morisation des grands textes du bouddhisme, au mot pr�s; stricte discipline de vie; nuits de trois � quatre heures; joutes rh�toriques de haut niveau; intenses pratiques spirituelles. Mais � vingt-huit ans, Dagpo Rimpotch� fuit la r�pression chinoise et devient professeur de tib�tain � la Sorbonne et � l'Inalco, o� il enseigne jusqu'� sa retraite, en 1992. Parall�lement, Dagpo Rimpotch� fonde, � la demande du Dala�-Lama, un important centre bouddhique, non loin de Paris, le centre Gu�p�le, qui rayonne aujourd'hui dans toute l'Europe. Cet homme tranquille, admir� pour son savoir, est donc un homme de notre temps. Il nous donne ici une le�on de vie.
