A lithographic portrait on wove paper of French author and atlas-maker Emmanuel, comte de Las Cases, by Delpech after Antoine Maurin. Hand-tinted (clothing and hair), with a facsimile of Las Cases's signature beneath. Sheet size is 29cm x 46cm / 11.5 x 18 inches. At lower right: "Lith de Delpech a Paris". At lower left: "Maurin (signature/monogram)". Foxing, but a fresh and attractive copy. Several varieties and sizes of these lithographs exist, with and without facsimile signatures. From the French work: "Iconographie des Contemporains, ou, Portraits des Personnes dont les noms se rattachent plus pariculi�rement, soit par leurs actions, soit par leurs �crits, aux divers �v�nements qui ont eu lieu en France, depuis 1789, jusqu'en 1829 : avec les fac-simile de l'�criture de chacune d'elles / / lithographi�s par les plus habiles artistes, d'apr�s les Peintures, Sculptures et dessins de MM. David [et al.] et plusieurs lithographi�s d'apr�s nature par MM. Hesse, Dupr� et Maurin.".
