VOLUME I ONLY of a two volume set. Spine title "Archbold's Nisi Prius Notes by J.K. Findlay." Third American from the second London edition, with notes referring to the latest American decisions. Paged as ix-lxiv, 65-739 pages. Hardcover: H 23.75cm x L 15.25cm. Contemporary full brown leather; boards rubbed with corners worn; some surface peeling to rear board; slender splitting at both joints but boards remain fairly firm; spine leather scuffed; gilt lettering to spine's red and black labels; past owner's name stamped near spine heel but now mostly illegible. Ink and pencil signatures of past owners on front endpapers; circular blindstamp of owner "John D. Reilly . . . Augusta, GA" on front free endpaper; margin toning to initial and rear leaves; some foxing but most leaves remain clean; several leaves with creased corners. Text block is firm. Acquired from an estate of a Columbus, Mississippi attorney who accumulated antiquarian law tomes from more senior Columbus colleagues upon their retirements.
