Blind-stamped gilt dec. & lettered red cloth, no obvious faults. Decorated endpapers with small 1875-dated sig. top front. f/piece (small engraving from 1686 book), t.p. with some red lettering and red & black border+ xi (inc.all prelims)+ 268 + (4, advertisements), all edges gilt, numerous red and block ills. of whist hands from p. 115 onwards and frequent red lettered paragraph headings, plus occ. small black tail-pieces. The only internal faults are narrowly cracked gutters after end-papers which seem quite secure. This is the 10th edition 'Revised and Greatly Enlarged'. Apparently scarce in such condition. 11 cm x 17 cm.
