The only edition of this thorough treatise on the use of Promissory Notes and Bills of Exchange in commercial affairs. This pamphlet was no doubt very useful to public institutions and private interests in the United States looking to gain financial strength in the early years of the republic. Though written by John Tisdall, notary public of Belfast, the text has "such alterations and additions as may render this treatise more useful to the citizens of Pennsylvania" by a "W.F." of Philadelphia.
