Skinner is a professor of ancient scripture and formerly the executive director of BYU s Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship. Brent L. Top, who chairs the Church history and doctrine department, has served as a mission president. The authors of this volume have written or edited a total of 100 books and more than 400 articles or book chapters dealing mostly with the history and doctrine of the Church.
