Unlike many limited issue sets of the era, this set is actually made from the highest quality leather, paper, and plates.This is an unusually heavy set, due to the leather, and the paper being of the highest quality. Bound in the highest quality gilded moroccan leather bindings! This is an exceptional set. Ornately gilded spines.Raised hubs. The top edges are gilded. Marbled end papers. ILLUSTRATED with frontisplates. Wide margins, well laid out and pleasure to read. Front hinge of volume one is starting at the top. VERY GOOD Condition. An exceptional set with some generalized wear including s ome spine abrasion, and starting to volume one. V olume one hinge is starting. Some general wear, shelf rubs, and some abrasion at the spine extremities. All hinges strongly attached. Front hinge of volume one is starting at the top. A gorgeous and set . Item # 2111.
