Complete in 24-volumes with all of Hugo's Works. Illustrated Cabinet Edition Dana Estes & Company, Boston. No Date. Circa 1890. CONDITION: This set is complete in 24 volumes. Excellent condition and extremely well preserved. All hinges strongly attached. The leather is very well-preserved. Printed on high quality paper that is still fresh and bright. Appears unread. Text blocks are very tight and try to close when opened. Hinges all strongly attached but are all rubbed. There is some general rubbing/wear, small micro chips at extremities, the largest chip at the base of the final volume shown in the pictures. Spines seemed slightly dry, and should be treated with linseed oil, recommended to be done every 10 or 20 years. About free of any foxing. Elaborate early bookplate featuring safari scene. No writing or previous signs of ownership. A gorgeous and complete set. A superb collection of Hugo's complete works, together with a Life of Hugo.
