A tremendous undertaking and one of the most useful cartographic references, citing over eighteen thousand atlases from around the world. Begun by Philip Lee Phillips, it was continued in 1958 by Clara LeGear. A lovely set of a key reference work that is becoming increasingly difficult to assemble. Eight volumes. Quarto. Original red and blue cloth, gilt-lettered spines. Minor wear to spines of first four volumes. Internally bright and clean. Very good.
